FAQs
- Do I qualify for visa-free entry or Visa on Arrival?
Some nationalities are visa-exempt or eligible for Visa on Arrival (VoA/e-VOA) for 30 days (extendable once). However, the Tourist Visa (C1 or D1) is preferred for longer stays or multiple entries.
- Can I extend each visit under the Multiple-Entry visa?
Yes — each 60-day visit can typically be extended up to two times, for a total of 180 days per entry. Extensions must be processed at an immigration office.
- Can I work or get paid while on a tourist visa?
No. Tourist Visas are strictly for leisure, visiting family, or light social/business activities. Any work or income-generating activity is prohibited.
- What passport validity is needed?
Your passport should have at least 6 months’ validity beyond your date of arrival, and at least two blank visa pages. Some ports of entry are strict about passport conditions.
- When should I apply before travelling?
We recommend initiating the visa process at least one week prior to your trip, though priority handling is often available with Esin.
- Can I bring dependents under the same visa?
Each traveler needs their own visa, passport, photo, and proof of funds. Group applications are possible but processed individually.
- What if I overstay?
Overstaying carries penalties of up to IDR 1,000,000 per day, with risks including deportation or blacklisting. Always renew or exit before the expiry date.
