FAQs

1. What’s the difference between C12 and D12 visas?

C12 is single-entry valid for 180 days—no extensions. D12 is multiple-entry (1 or 2 years), allowing up to 180 days per entry with one permitted extension per stay.

2. Can I work or earn money on these visas?

No—you may conduct business-related exploration only. Any paid work, service provision, or income is strictly prohibited.

3. Can I exit and re-enter Indonesia with C12 or D12?

Only D12 allows multiple entries. C12 is single-entry—leaving Indonesia voids your visa.

4. Can I extend my stay beyond 180 days per visit?

Only D12 visa holders may extend one time by 180 days. C12 holders are not eligible for extension.

5. What happens if I overstay?

Immigration penalties include IDR 1,000,000/day, blacklisting, or deportation. Always exit or extend before expiry.

6. When should I apply?

You should apply at least 1 month before your intended travel. You have 90 days to enter from e-Visa issuance.

7. Can these be obtained while in Indonesia?

No—application must be done offshore. Onshore conversion isn’t supported.
